Together with Bacher Systems, GeoSphere Austria has extensively modernized and consolidated its storage and backup infrastructure. The introduction of a flexible Storage-as-a-Service model based on NetApp Keystone® has created a future-proof platform that combines high availability, scalability, security, and energy efficiency.

The new solution enables GeoSphere Austria to respond flexibly to increasing data volumes while significantly reducing operational effort and investment costs. Furthermore, the modernized infrastructure supports operations according to ISO/IEC 27001 standards and integrates modern security mechanisms such as Multi-Admin Verification, Two-Factor Authentication, and efficient snapshot technologies.

Thanks to a multi-stage migration concept, the transition was implemented almost without interruption. By consolidating existing systems and utilizing modern QLC flash technology, GeoSphere Austria also achieves significant energy savings of around 270,000 kWh per year.
